Open Mic Night on the way in New Britain

NEW BRITAIN - The Artists’ Cooperative will host its monthly Open Mic Night on Thursday.

The program begins at 6 p.m. at the Downtown District Visitors Center, 66 W. Main St. The host will be musical artist and radio personality Tara “T-Quest” Little.

Open Mic Night is held on the third Thursday of each month. The event is free and open to the public. Instrumentalists, singers, dancers, storytellers and poets are welcome, regardless of skill level or genre. Those interested in performing must arrive before 6 p.m. to sign up.

New performers nad veterans are encouraged to participate.

Perfor-mances should be no longer than five minutes and must be appropriate for an audience that may include children. Musicians are asked to bring music on flash drive or compact disc.
