NEW BRITAIN - The Veterans Art Foundation is hosting an exhibit opening at City Hall Wednesday featuring art from veterans, active-duty military, reservists and their families.

The exhibit, on the second floor of City Hall, will open with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and run through July 25.

Stephen Hard, chairman of the city’s Commission on the Arts, is pleased with the role the display will play in the community.

“The city and the arts commission are delighted to give veterans a place to display their art,” Hard said.

The displayed works have been selected by Ed Santos, a disabled veteran who has turned to art as a form of therapy.

The public can view his artwork or make a donation for veterans at www.esantosstudios.com .

The opening reception is free to attend. The exhibit can be viewed during regular City Hall business hours.
