NEW BRITAIN - Hit music from six decades will be featured at the Summer Music Festival at Walnut Hill Park tonight and Wednesday night.

Tonight, the Coyote River Band will take the stage. The band formed in 2010 with the goal of creating a band with such great chemistry that it would show in their music and build a strong connection with the audience.

They cover popular songs from the 1970s through the 1990s.

On Wednesday, Connecticut music veterans Locomotion will perform. Locomotion has been keeping Nutmeggers dancing since 1987, playing classics from the 1960s to today.

Both concerts will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Darius Miller Band Shell. Admission is free and concessions are available to buy. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
