NEW BRITAIN -Stop by Alvarium Brewery Wednesday to raise a glass and support the New Britain Industrial Museum.

From 6 to 8 p.m. people can stop by and enjoy games and raffles and get their first beer free with a $20 donation at the door.

Alvarium opened in New Britain in late June, being the first brewery in the city since Cremo Brewing Co. closed its doors in 1955.

This past Saturday, Alvarium relaunched the iconic brew - Cremo Ale - and will be serving it during Wednesday’s event.

The museum recently moved out of its location at the CCSU Institute for Technical and Business Development and into a storefront at 59 W. Main St.

The museum is operating for limited hours until its grand opening, scheduled for sometime in November. It will be open Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For more information, call the museum at 860-832-8654.
