NEW BRITAIN - Personally approved by the King of Pop himself, Joby Rogers brings his tribute to Michael Jackson to Trinity-on-Main on Saturday.
Rogers, who grew up in the Hardware City, spent years perfecting the dancing and mannerisms of Jackson.
At the turn of the millennium Rogers, done up as Jackson, was featured on the cover of Rolling Stone dated Dec. 30, 1999 to Jan. 6, 2000 with other Hollywood doubles of Cher, Madonna, Marilyn Monroe, Britney Spears, Boy George, Vanilla Ice and David Bowie.
Presented by Thunder and Lightning Productions, the tribute concert is a celebration of the music and dancing of Michael Jackson.
The event runs from 8 to 11 p.m. at the venue located at 69 Main St. VIP tickets are sold out, but reserved seating can still be purchased for $23.
