NEW BRITAIN -Witches and wizards, goblins and ghouls - whatever the costume, all are welcome to the New Britain Museum of American Art’s 11th annual Museum After Dark Halloween bash on Friday, Oct. 27.
From 7 to 10 p.m. guests can lurk in the galleries, show off their killer moves to the sounds of local musicians and DJs, and have a bone-chilling time with other young professionals.
Hartford-based club DJ Afropanther and DJ Zerp will be spinning tracks throughout, with other activities including a screening of an old horror film in the ArtLab and a spooky photo booth.
Eat, drink and be scary with free “boos” (beer and wine) and light snacks provided by the museum. Food will be available from Brasato and a cash bar: $4 well drinks, $6 calls and $8 top shelf.
Costumes cannot extend more than 12 inches in any direction; those that do are subject to adjustment or removal by museum staff.
All tickets must be purchased in advance; none will be sold at the door. The event is strictly for people 21 and older, IDs will be checked upon entry. Admission is $20 for members and $30 for non-members.
Tickets can be bought online at nbmaa.org or by calling the museum at 860-229-0257.
