Library's lecture series on WWI ends Dec. 9

NEW BRITAIN -Visitors to the New Britain Public Library have one more chance to experience its World War I lecture series.

The final program of the World War I Centennial Series, “The Central Blue: The Evolved Roles of Aviation in World War I,” will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 in the library’s Community Room.

Featuring Carl Stidsen from the New England Air Museum, the program will show how the airplane evolved into a game changer during World War I.

Stidsen has been a member of the New England Air Museum for more than 35 years and is its lead library and archives volunteer.

Those interested can register by calling the library’s information desk at 860-224-3155, ext. 125. The library is at 20 High St.
