BERLIN - Just in time for the first snowfall of the season, the New Britain Youth Museum held its winter-themed Snowman Party on Saturday afternoon at Hungerford Park in Kensington.

Children 2 to 12 years old were invited to the museum for cookie decorating, games, crafts and snacks.

This is the first of three December events scheduled at the New Britain Youth Museum.

Next weekend at Hungerford Park, the museum will hold Kids’ Night Out, an evening of games, crafts, science experiments and other programs.

Kids’ Night Out will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, for children ages 3 to 12 years old. The cost is $15 per child for members and $25 per child for non-members. There is a $5 discount for registering siblings.

Registration for this event is due by Thursday, Dec. 14.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, the NBYM will host its Gingerbread House Making Event. The cost is $2 for adults and children 3 years old and up. This event will be held at the NBYM’s 30 High St., New Britain, location.

The New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park is at 191 Farmington Ave., Kensington.
