Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra to perform 2 concerts this weekend

The Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra has two concerts planned this weekend tonight and Saturday, March 17.

Tonight at 7:30 p.m. will be Music of J.S. Bach with Central Connecticut State University Singers. The concert will be at First Church of Christ, 830 Corbin Ave. in New Britain.

On Saturday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. will be SS. Cyril & Methodius Church at 55 Charter Oak Ave. in Hartford.

The concert program will be as followed:

 Choral Concert with CCSU University Singers. Music by Johann Sebastian Bach

•Concerto for Flute, Violin and Harpsichord in A minor, BWV 1044 with Jill Maurer Davis (flute), Adrian Sylveen (violin) and Michael Korman (harpsichord)

•Kaffeekantate: “Schweigt stille, plaudert nicht,” BWV 211 with Alexander O’Neil (tenor), Kate Callahan Hardman (soprano) and Steven Fredericks (bass)

•Motet “Komm, Jesu, komm,” BWV 229 with Central Connecticut State University Singers and conductor Drew Collins
