NEW BRITAIN - New Britain High School’s Madrigal Singers will host their 41st annual “Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste” next week, and space is still available for the event.

This year’s “Feaste” will have three performances: Friday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m.

This year’s show, under the direction of Jason Ferrandino, is titled,“A Fantastical Feaste of Thrones.”

The evening’s plot will feature satire based on “Game of Thrones,” “Harry Potter” and “The Lord of the Rings.”

“The Madrigals, Treble Choir and other music groups have been working hard to prepare for this year’s show,” Ferrandino said. “The performance promises to be an audience favorite. I am sure the audience will enjoy being part of the show.”

The event will be held at New Britain High School and will take place on the auditorium stage. This will allow the audience to enjoy the unique experience of being part of the show on stage while they enjoy their meal.

The show features the New Britain High School Madrigal Singers, the Treble Choir, Brass Ensemble and the NBHS Orchestra.

NBHS’s Madrigal Feaste is a highlight event in the city every winter.

The school’s Madrigal Singers celebrated their 40th year last year, and each year the group brings a different theme or plot to the event.

Over the past 20 or so years there have been “Star Wars”- and James Bond-themed shows, murder mysteries and more.

Each table seats up to eight guests and the show includes a meal including soup, salad and a main entrée of beef or chicken.

Because space is limited, advanced reservations are required. To reserve tickets, call 860-225-6300, ext. 527, or email feaste@csdnb.org.
