NEW BRITAIN - A local holiday tradition returns to the Trinity-on-Main Arts Center on Dec. 16 when the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra presents its 2018 Polish Christmas Concert.

The orchestra, under the direction of Adrian Sylveen, once again will be joined by the Moniuszko Choir for the program of traditional Polish songs and Christmas carols.

The concert starts at 4 p.m. and admission is free.

A special guest this year will be soprano Jurate Svedaite, who will offer a selection of Polish art songs by Frederic Chopin, Stanislaw Moniuszko and Karol Szymanowski.

Born in Lithuania, Jurate Svedaite has performed throughout Europe and the United States, including in-state appearances with the Virtuosi and the Connecticut Lyric Opera. In Europe, she has sung with the Lithuanian National Chamber Orchestra, the Lithuanian National Ensemble and the European Baroque Festival Opera.

Trinity-on-Main is located at 60 Main St., New Britain.
