NEW BRITAIN - The Meriden-New Britain-Berlin YMCA’s signature annual fundraiser is less than a month away

The organization will host its annual Endless Summer Luau from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Tunxis Plantation Country Club in Farmington.

All proceeds will benefit the YMCA’s annual Community Support Campaign, an effort to ensure that everyone -regardless of age, income or background - has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive at the Y.

The Community Support Campaign provides financial assistance for memberships, child care and camps.

“We never want to turn anybody away for financial reasons,” said Desiree Agosto, membership and marketing manager for the YMCA.

The Y will hand out its Compass Awards at the fundraiser, an honor that recognizes community leaders, Agosto said. This year’s Compass Award recipients will be Betty Fumiatti and Gerry Berthiaume.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $90 for one or $175 for a pair. YMCA employees and their spouses can purchase tickets for $50. There are also options to purchase tickets for a whole table - $700 for a table for eight or $875 for a table for 10.

Sponsorships are still available for the fundraiser. For more information about the event and ways to become a sponsor or buy tickets, contact Desiree Agosto at 860-229-3787 or by email at dagosto@nbbymca.org.
