BERLIN - Police are looking for witnesses to a crash on the Berlin Turnpike late Monday that seriously injured two drivers.

Lt. Christopher Ciuci said that, according to a preliminary investigation, at around 11 p.m., a car was traveling south on the turnpike near Rowley Street and another taking a left from Seldon Street onto the southbound side of the turnpike collided.

Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Hartford Hospital. Berlin police did not have an update on their condition Tuesday afternoon.

The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad responded and is continuing to investigate, Ciuci said.

Witnesses to the crash and others with information are asked to contact Officer Ryan Gould at 860-828-7082 or Sgt. Todd Lentini at 860-828-7084.
