Candidates for mayor to debate in Berlin Thursday night

BERLIN - The town’s mayoral candidates, Republican incumbent Mark Kaczynski and Democratic challenger Richard Paskiewicz, will debate tonight at 6:30 in the Berlin High School auditorium, 139 Patterson Way.

Each candidate will be allowed a two-minute opening statement, a two-minute closing statement and one minute to answer each question, according to berlindebate.org. Rebuttals will be allowed at the discretion of the moderator, personal references are out of order and only the moderator will be asking questions during the debate.

The debate will be moderated by Christian Damiana, a BHS junior and president of the BHS Speech and Debate Club, which is hosting the debate.
