BERLIN - The town’s five polling places for Tuesday’s municipal election are:

n District 1: Emma Hart Willard School, 1088 Norton Road

n District 2: American Legion Post 68, 154 Porters Pass

n District 3: Richard D. Hubbard School, 139 Grove St.

n District 4: Berlin Senior Center, 31 Colonial Drive

n District 5: Mary E. Griswold School, 133 Heather Lane.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Up for election are mayor, Town Council, Board of Finance, Board of Assessment Appeals, Police Commission and the nonpartisan Board of Education.

With electors voting for mayor and Board of Finance for the first time this year, the ballot this year is larger - 11 by 17 inches.

“It’s not that different,” said Republican Registrar of Voters Elizabeth Tedeschi. “There’s just the extra column for mayor and the Board of Finance, and the extra space for the fourth Board of Ed candidate. Everything else is the same.”

Absentee ballots will be counted at the Town Hall, 240 Kensington Road.
