Republican Kaczynski beats Democrat Paskiewicz in Berlin mayoral race

BERLIN - The Republicans remained in power with Mayor Mark Kaczynski beating Democratic challenger Rich Paskiewicz by more than 200 votes.

The mood was somber at Democratic headquarters as the results came in. The Democrats were guaranteed three seats on the Town Council. Republican Charles Paonessa did not retain his seat, according to unofficial results.
