BERLIN - The Association of School Business Officials International has announced that Eva Gallupe, director of business operations for the Berlin schools, has been named a Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations.

School business professionals who earn the certification have proven that they have the knowledge, expertise, and fiscal credibility to lead their school districts and effectively manage their finances.

“ASBO International’s SFO certification is the only internationally recognized certification for school business officials,” said ASBO International Executive Director John Musso. “As school districts are pressed more than ever to be accountable to their communities, having an SFO at the helm demonstrates that the district is committed to being a trustworthy steward of taxpayer dollars and to effectively allocating educational resources to support student success.”

School business officials who have earned the SFO certification commit to ongoing professional development, renewing the certification annually, and undergoing recertification every three years.
