BERLIN - The ninth annual Central Connecticut Toy Drive to benefit the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Foundation is collecting new unwrapped toys, infant and children’s clothing, infant necessities and books.

Toys that are safe and appropriate for hospitalized infants, children or teenagers are requested. The toys are used for children who enter the emergency room or have any type of procedures, and for use in the waiting rooms and the toy cart.

Toys and clothes are often given to the less fortunate children. During the holidays, the toys are distributed by Santa as he goes room to room for those who cannot leave and have to spend the holidays at the Medical Center.

All donations go directly to the CCMC Foundation.
