BERLIN - The Berlin Public School System announced a town-wide preschool screening.
Berlin residents who are between the ages of 2 years, 6 months and 4 years, 8 months by Jan. 20, 2018 are eligible to participate.
We will screen in the areas of language, motor and social skills and provide you with information about your child’s development, strengths and weaknesses. The screening will also assist the school district to identify children who may be in need of additional evaluation.
The screening will serve as part of Berlin’s CHILD FIND, a federally-mandated activity that seeks to identify children with physical, mental and/or emotional disabilities which would impair their ability to learn.
The Preschool Round-up will take place at the Berlin Community Center on Kensington Road on Friday, Jan. 19, from 8:30 to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., by appointment only. Time will be dependent upon a child’s age. Appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Call JoAnn or Sue at 860-828-6581 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., between Jan. 2 to Jan 17 to schedule a time a screening.
