BERLIN – Eversource crews are still on the scene of a car verses utility pole crash on the Berlin Turnpike that occurred this morning.

A car hit a pole in the area of New Park Drive at about 9:28 a.m., causing utility wires to sag across both lanes of the turnpike, police said. The female driver was injured and taken to an area hospital.

The roadway is not closed but cones have been set up to have drivers avoid the area where the wires are sagging low, police said. Eversource crews were still at the scene as of 12 p.m. dealing with the pole and the wires, police said.
