Charlton Comic Event is on Saturday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m.
“Charlton Comics: The Movie” is about a comic book company in Connecticut, featuring artists and writers from the golden and silver age of comics. Producer/Director Jackie Zbuska and Producer Keith Larsen will spend the afternoon discussing the crazy and hilarious story of what Charlton Comics was and why it matters in the annals of comic book history.
They’ll also be discussing the production of the film and showing some clips and footage from the upcoming documentary feature.

Cookbook Club is on Monday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m.
Do you enjoy flipping through cookbooks to decide what to make? Do you search through recipes for inspiration? Come join our newest monthly book club, featuring cookbooks! Just register for “Cooking by the Book,” pick a recipe from the specified cookbook, make the dish on your own, and then gather for a feas. While you eat, you can discuss the cookbook, its recipes and the process of choosing what to make and how to make it. Dishes will be evenly distributed among starters and sides, main courses, and desserts. You do not need to be an experienced cook, just an enthusiastic one!
