BERLIN - Just as the snow was about to start at around 3 a.m. officer Richard Schreiner spotted a vehicle reported stolen out of Meriden pulling into a High Road address, police said.

Meriden police issued an alert about the vehicle and Schreiner recognized the car, Deputy Chief Christopher Ciuci said.

The vehicle pulled into a High Road driveway and the occupants fled on foot, Ciuci said. The address had nothing to do with the theft of the vehicle or the occupants of the car, he said.

A track with a police K9 did not find the suspects, he said.
