Berlin library offers free Tuesday tax sessions

BERLIN - Every Tuesday through April 17, the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library will be hosting a free workshop on income tax preparation.

Sponsored by AARP Tax-Aide, a free program, the workshop provides income tax preparation assistance for low- and middle-income taxpayers of all ages.

If married, both taxpayer and spouse must be present. Both signatures are required as well as photo identification.

Taxes are completed in one session. Taxpayers must bring all necessary documentation with them:

Complete copy of last year’s tax return.

Social Security or individual taxpayer ID for all individual household members.

A personal check showing bank account and routing numbers.
