Kensington-Berlin Rotary Club to honor former superintendent, principal

BERLIN - The Kensington-Berlin Rotary Club will honor former School Superintendent David Erwin and former Berlin High School Principal Francis Kennedy at its installation banquet June 7.

They will receive Paul Harris Fellow recognition for outstanding contributions to their community. Harris founded the Rotary Club in 1905.

“Mr. Erwin and Mr. Kennedy were in- strumental in implementing an Interact Club at Berlin High School,” a release stated.

Interact is the high school version of Rotary and the one at BHS is the largest in District 7890, which includes 62 clubs in Connecticut and Massachusetts. The BHS club has over 120 students, the release stated.

In honor of Erwin and Kennedy, a donation has been made to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
