BERLIN - Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man and a woman who used credit cards taken in a car break-in on June 19.

A purse was stolen from a car parked in a driveway on Devonshire Way in the early morning of June 19, police said. The credit cards were used within hours to buy items at two Walmarts, in Windsor and Manchester, and at a Windsor gas station.

Police are hoping to identify the people who used the cards.

Store surveillance cameras at one of the Walmarts captured a photo of the man and woman who used the cards. The cameras also caught a photo of the Jeep Grand Cherokee they were driving.

Other car break-ins occurred in town that week on Ronal Drive and Lower Lane. It is unclear if the same suspects were involved in all the break-ins.

Anyone with information, or who recognizes the people, is asked to contact Lt. Michael Jobes at 860-828-7088 or mjobes@berlinpd.org, and refer ti BPD case #2018-12258.
