BERLIN - The Connecticut Cabaret Theatre will be staging “Social Security” from Friday, Aug. 17, through Saturday, Sep. 22.

The comedy is about an art-dealing married couple who are visited by the wife’s sister, her sister’s uptight husband and their mother to teach the couple’s daughter about the dangers of living a sex-filled life.

Actors Rachel West-Balling and Chris Brooks play the couple, with Carleigh Cappetta Schultz as the sister, Tony Gali as her husband and Lori Feldman as the mother. Russell Fish also stars as an elderly client of the married couple who gets along a bit too well with the mother. The play is directed by the theater’s owner, Kris McMurray.

Performances are set for Fridays and Saturdays except for Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

The show begins at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7:15.

Tickets are on sale now for $34 each and can be bought by calling the box office at 860-829-1248. Food and drinks are allowed in the venue.

The theater is at 31 Webster Square Road.
