Berlin Board of Education candidates win re-election to their seats among other local winners

BERLIN -- Three Board of Education members won re-election to their seats as registrars of voters and a probate judge were voted in locally Tuesday night.
 
Adam Salina was the top vote getter with 382, followed by Julia Motte Dennis with 357 and Tracy Sisti with 352.
 
Candidates Gary Brochu received 253 votes, Lynn Dymczyk got 211 votes and Brian DeLude had 137 votes.
 
Candidates for the state's only non-partisan Board of Education had to attain 139 petitioning signatures, or 1 percent of the electorate, by Aug. 8.
 
Democratic Registrar of Voters Christy Miano returns to her position with 493 votes as Republican Registrar of Voters Susan Wasik received 573 votes. Wasik replaces longtime Republican Registrar of Voters Betty Tedeschi.
 
Walter Clebowicz remains as probate judge for the town as the only candidate for the position and cross-endorsed for it. He received 4,220 votes on the Democratic ticket and 4,835 as a Republican.
 
All results are unofficial and from the state's Secretary of the State's office.
