Abercrombie wins in 83rd; victors declared in Berlin local contests

In other races involving Berlin:

- Democrat Cathy Abercrombie retained her 83rd House District seat with 4,765 votes to Republican Lou Arata’s 4,450 and Libertarian Roger Misbach’s 117 votes.

- The Berlin Board of Education will have three members returning. Adam Salina received 382 votes, Julia Motte Dennis 357 and Tracy Sisti 352, defeating Gary Brochu with 253 votes, Lynn Dymczyk with 211 and Brian DeLude with 137.

- Democratic Registrar of Voters Christy Miano was re-elected, while Susan Wasik will replace Republican Registrar Betty Tedeschi, who is resigning. Neither candidate was opposed.

- Walter Clebowicz, endorsed by both parties, was re-elected probate judge, with 4,220 votes as a Democrat and 4,835 votes as a Republican.
