BERLIN – Kristin Campanelli is the new acting chairman of the Democratic Town Committee, serving as the spokesperson for the party and leader of Berlin Democrats through the next election.

Campanelli previously served as the party’s acting vice chairperson and secretary. She served the town as a councilor for one term from 2015 to 2017 and as a Board of Education member for two terms between 2009 and 2012.

“The Berlin Democrats are excited to be gearing up for the next election cycle, and will run energetic, qualified candidates for office in Berlin,” Campanelli said. “We welcome new ideas and new faces. Berlin is currently at a crossroads and is in need of engaged and inclusive leadership with new ideas to move us forward.

“For that reason, we are asking anyone who wishes to run for public office in Berlin, for mayor, Town Council, or Board of Finance, or who has ideas on ways to improve or bring efficiency to our great town, to please contact me by phone at 860-878-2029, or email at kmcampanelli@gmail.com.”

“We are committed to hearing the voices of our neighbors, and that process begins now,” Campanelli said.

Information on the Berlin Democrats can be found on their Facebook page, facebook.com/CTBerlinDemocrats/ and Twitter at @berlinctdems.

The next municipal election is on Nov. 5.
