BERLIN - The Visiting Nurses Association is hosting a free dinner and informational event on Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Berlin Community Center.
The senior living event is being held in collaboration with October Kitchen and Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri.
Representatives from all three organizations will come together to discuss subjects including keeping one’s home safe and accessible, assistive technology, using Medicaid to pay for home care, strategies to protect assets from long-term care costs, tips for proper nutrition and staying healthy, and community resources.
Kevin Riedel, community relations manager for Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri, said this will be a perfect opportunity to ask questions because there is a lot of misinformation out there.
“It’s a way to educate the community and answer any questions they might have,” Riedel said.
The event runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and will include a meal, compliments of October Kitchen.
Space is limited, so those interested must register to attend. This can be done online at www.ctseniorlaw.com/ageinplace or by calling 860-236-7673.
The Berlin Community Center is at 240 Kensington Road.
