A slow moving storm front that has lingered in the area over the past two days hasn’t dumped enough snow to cause many issues on the roads in area towns.

Though the duration of the storm has been exceptionally long, snow has not fallen at a very fast rate and has had many periods of lulls that have allowed plow drivers to keep roads mostly clear.

Bristol police on Friday said they had only responded to one car accident since midnight, and it did not involve any injuries.

Though Southington police said they were called to four accidents in that same timeframe, none involved any injuries, according to Lt. Keith Egan.

Newington police on Friday said they had not responded to any crashes since midnight, and police in Berlin said they were dispatched to only one. No serious injuries were reported, Berlin Dep. Chief of Police Chris Ciuci.

Plainville police said Friday they were called to one crash, though it was not considered serious.

Police in Plymouth also received one report of a car accident in their town, but it did not involve any serious injuries.

New Britain police did not respond to an inquiry Friday regarding how many car accidents city police had been dispatched to.
