The Connecticut Association of Schools and the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference announced on Friday the 354 high school senior athletes that will be honored at the 34th annual CAS-CIAC Scholar Athlete Banquet, with athletes coming from each of the area high schools.
From Bristol Central, Autumn Blasi, who plays volleyball, and Scott Larson, who plays football and lacrosse, will be in attendance.
Bristol Eastern’s selections were Emily Stadnicki - who competes in soccer, indoor track and lacrosse - and Harrison Dayton - who runs cross country and indoor and outdoor track.
Morgan Middleton from the St. Paul girls swimming and girls lacrosse teams and Jordan Silva from the school’s football and wrestling teams will represent the Falcons.
From Terryville girls soccer, Alayna Garuti is the female selection and from the Kangaroos’ cross country, basketball and baseball teams, John Grimes was the male selection.
From Berlin, Hannah Schulz and Steven Bordonaro will be honored. Goodwin Tech’s selections are Mayte Casiano and Moise Moket. Ava Morell and Darien Figueroa will represent New Britain at the banquet. Newington’s selections are Megan Andrews and Tyler Savluk. Innovation only had one student selected, which is Aidonee Blackstock. Plainville’s representatives will be Victoria Plourde and Grant Sarra. From Southington, Nickolina Doran and Nathan Simard were selected.
The Scholar Athlete Banquet will be held at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington on Sunday night.
