Sports Roundup: Berlin boys soccer wins third straight behind Jenkins two goals

BERLIN - The Berlin boys soccer team its third straight behind a pair of goals from Ryan Jenkins.

Curtis Arcari also added a goal for the Redcoats and Noah Silverman had a pair of assists as the Redcoats beat South Windsor 3-2 Thursday afternoon.

Berlin keeper Jack Nelson made 12 saves.

With the win, the Redcoats move to 9-3-1 on the year.


Southington 3, Norwich Free Academy 0: The Blue Knights swept Norwich Free Academy with set scores of 25-17, 25-21 and 25-11.

Erica Burno (10 kills), Brooke Conney (8 kills), Steph Zera (33 assists, 4 digs), Noyln Allen (14 digs) and Julia Wells (5 aces) led the way for Southington.

The Blue Knights have won nine of their last 10 matches and are clicking with four matches left in the season.

Southington advanced to 12-2 with the win and will host Conard tonight.

Innovation 3, MLC 0: Innovation had a strong performance, sweeping MLC with set scores of 25-13, 25-20 and 25-14.

Imani Rosado (21 assists) and Bailee Nardi (14 kills) led the way for Innovation.

With the win, Innovation moves to 15-2 on the year and will travel to Vinal Tech on Tuesday.
