The Board of Directors of the Berlin High School Athletic Hall of Fame announced the completion of the permanent location and display of the Berlin Athletic Hall of Fame.

Located at Berlin High School, second floor, just outside the Media Center and adjacent to the High School’s A Gym, the display recognizes the contributions of past athletes, coaches, teams and contributors to Berlin athletics.

The Berlin Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 2008 with the inaugural class inducted in May 2010. Since that first year, a new class has been recognized each year and a total of 95 individuals and teams are now on display at Berlin High School.

The Board of Directors of the Berlin Athletic Hall of Fame will be conducting a dedication ceremony at Berlin High on Saturday Feb. 3, 2018, at 3 p.m., just prior to the boys basketball game vs. Farmington. The public is invited to attend and view the new permanent location of the Berlin Athletic Hall of Fame.

The Board would like to thank the sponsors/donors, and Building Commission, as well as school and town administrations that made the permanent display a reality. Without their support, the display would not have been possible.

The establishment of the permanent Athletic Hall of Fame at the high school has been an ongoing goal for the Board of Directors since the first induction class in 2010. Once the final location was determined and fundraising and design completed, the final installation of the display was delayed until the renovations at the high school were completed this fall.

The Hall of Fame Class of 2018 will be enshrined at the annual induction dinner to be held on Sunday, April 22, at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville. Tickets and information regarding the dinner can be found on the BHS Athletic Hall of Fame website ( ).
