BERLIN - The Berlin girls basketball team’s winning streak in now up to nine.

Lyzi Litwinko scored 15 points, Kailee DeMaio finished with 11, Carly Grega added 10 points and Jenna Wenzel scored nine as the Redcoats rolled past Lewis Mills 67-42 at home Monday night.

“It was another great team outing,” Berlin head coach Sheila King said.

Overall, the Redcoats got scoring contributions from 10 of their 11 players, as they took control of the game from the start, opening up with a 23-point first quarter.

Berlin will be going for its 10th win of the season at Farmington on Thursday.

Bolton 38, Innovation 15: The Ravens struggled to score from the start and didn’t get any easier as the game wore on.

Innovation managed 13 points over the course of the first 16 minutes of play and just two after halftime.

Te’ijah Roberts led Innovation with eight points. No other player for the Ravens had more than three.

Innovation 63, University 16: The Ravens played stifling defense and are now just one win away from getting back into the state tournament to defend their state championship.

LJ Hazelwood filled the stat sheet once again. He finished with 24 points, 17 rebounds, eight assists, four blocks and two steals; and Dashawn Hill finished with a career high 14 points to go along with five boards as Innovation earned its seventh win of the season.

“LJ played really well tonight,” Ravens head coach Matt Lance said. “But what I liked the most is he didn’t commit a single turnover. He did an excellent job of taking care of the ball and I feel like Dashawn Hill is someone who keeps getting better and better and better. He finished with a career-high in points tonight and if he can continue to develop, he’s going to be a threat for us like LJ and Gabe [Matias] and Clinton Allen and that’s going to make us more dangerous.”

Innovation held University to just three first-half points and 13 in the second half.
