Berlin's Meyers reaches finals with Team Connecticut

Brennan Meyers represented Berlin over the weekend playing for Team Connecticut in the National PGA Jr. League Championship.

Meyers, a Berlin native, calls his home course Timberlin Golf Club.

Only eight kids aged 13 and under represented Connecticut at the National PGA Jr. League Championship. Meyers, playing with Luke Hoglund, beat Utah's Austin Shelley and Ryder Huish 11-10 in scramble format.

Team Connecticut made it through local and regional qualifying before falling to Team Utah in the finals following a win over No. 1 Florida. Florida ended up finishing fourth behind Oklahoma.

The tournament appearance is Meyers' third at just 12 years old.
