NASHUA, N.H. -- The Bristol Blues fell behind early and never could recover on Thursday night, as they fell 16-6 to the Nashua Silver Knights at Holman Stadium.

The Silver Knights scored three runs in the bottom of the first off Blues starter Tyler Kovalewich. But Bristol stormed back to score four in the next half inning to take the lead. Cooper Mrowka drove in a pair with a single, Josh Zbierski batted him in with a single of his own and Max Goione batted Nick Roy in two batters later.

The lead did not last long, however, as the Silver Knights jumped on Kovalewich again and put up another three runs. Kovalewich would only last one batter into the third inning before being lifted. He gave up six runs on 10 hits.

Nashua pulled away in the bottom of the fifth, scoring five runs off of Bristol's Keith Grant and John Natoli. The Silver Knights then went on to add three in the seventh and two in the eighth. The Blues scored two in the top of the ninth but it barely made a dent in the deficit.
