BROCKTON, Mass - It was not a good night for the Bristol Blues.

Bristol was swept in its doubleheader against the Brockton Rox Friday night, dropping the first game 8-5 and the second one 8-2.

Once again, the Blues found themselves with a comfortable lead in Game 1, having been up 5-0 after the top of the fifth, but the Rox responded with a six runs in the bottom of the frame to wipe away Bristol’s lead. Brockton then tacked on two more runs in the sixth to put the game away.

Things only got worse for the Blues from there.

They quickly found themselves down 4-0 after just three innings and then down 6-0 after throwing errors allowed the Rox to bring two more runs home later in the game.

Bristol managed to score two runs of its own, but Brockton quickly tacked on an insurance run to bring the final score to 7-2.
