Bristol Blues win second straight road game to open 2018 season

PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The Bristol Blues won their second straight game to open the 2018 season on Friday night, beating the Pittsfield Suns 9-1 in a road game. The two teams battle again in the Blues' home opener tonight at Muzzy Field.

Bristol struck for three runs in the second inning as Ian Ostberg had an RBI single, a wild pitch allowed the second run to score and Dylan Reynolds followed with another RBI single.

The Blues took a 6-0 lead in the fourth inning as Jeremy Sagun hit an RBI single, another run scored on a fielder's choice and the third on an error.

Ostberg went 5-for-5 in the game with three runs and an RBI.

Kelvin Sosa was the winning pitcher, allowing four hits and no runs over five innings.
