NEW BRITAIN - Central Connecticut State head football coach Pete Rossomando wanted his team to play cleaner football heading into its Week 2 matchup against Division II Lincoln University (PA).

The Blue Devils had no problems responding to the request.

CCSU scored on its first six possessions with 27 first-quarter points coming in just 13 plays, Drew Jean-Guillaume and Aaron Dawson each had two rushing touchdowns and Jacob Dolegala threw for two more on its way to a 50-0 rout at Arute Field Friday night.

The Blue Devils (1-1) have now won six straight home games dating back to last season.

CCSU returned the opening kickoff 45 yards and Jean-Guillaume scored five plays later from 8 yards out. After Lincoln's three-and-out, Courtney Rush had a catch-and-run 58-yard touchdown from Dolegala to make it 13-0. After another Lions punt, Enyce Walker scored a 36-yard rushing touchdown and Jean-Guillaume added a short TD run, this one a 4-yarder to make it 27-0.

Walker finished with a game-high 81 yards on the ground on eight carries. Jean-Guillaume ran six times for 54 yards.

The Blue Devils blocked a punt to start the second quarter, and Dawson scored three plays later to make it 34-0. Dolegala then connected with senior Joey Fields on a 40-yard touchdown to make it 41-0 heading into halftime.

Dolegala was 7-of-8 passing for 151 yards for CCSU. Backup Tanner Kingsley completed 8-of-10 passes for 66 yards and capped the scoring with a rushing TD.

Lincoln was held to 125 total yards and seven first downs. The shutout was the first for the Blue Devils since a 34-0 win over Robert Morris on Oct. 31, 2015.

CCSU will look for its second win of the season next Saturday against Colombia at home at 5 p.m.
