To The Editor:
Hats off to the mayor, police chief and the City Council for pushing the new city ordinance against aggressive panhandling in Bristol.
The Bristol police have done a great job in Bristol especially in the North Street area and the West End.
I take personal interest in this ordinance since I was the 69-year-old elderly gentleman brutally assaulted and robbed. As yet, I have been unable to recover from this attack physically and psychologically.
After two years of daily complaining to Family Dollar store for permitting this dangerous activity, I hold them responsible for allowing groups of panhandlers to loiter outside their store.
