NEW BRITAIN -Gaffney Bennett Public Relations announced Thursday that Patrick McGloin has rejoined the firm as a partner.

McGloin spent eight years at GBPR as an associate, then left in January 2015 to become the vice president of government relations and public policy at the MetroHartford Alliance.

“We’re excited that Patrick is bringing his talent and energy back to our team. Over the course of his previous eight years at GBPR, Patrick served as a trusted advisor to clients on a wide range of communications challenges,” said Hank Spring, managing partner. “Our clients will benefit immensely from his experience and we’re thrilled to welcome him back at GBPR.”

McGloin has served in communications, public policy, and public opinion research advisor in politics and government positions at the state and national level. He has experience in grassroots advocacy strategic communications, public opinion research, government relations and political campaign management.

“I greatly appreciated the chance to be part of the team at the MetroHartford Alliance and hold my former colleagues in the highest regard,” said McGloin. “It was a tough decision, but the opportunity to return to the region’s leading PR firm as a partner was too exciting to pass up. I am very much looking forward to growing the firm and working with a group of communications professionals at the top of their game.”
