SOUTHINGTON - For homeowners who forgot the shades were open or who want to brighten up the house before they get home, Maximum Sound and Security has the technology to let customers control the view from their house from their phone or tablet.

“We do shades that are wireless,” said co-owner Ralph Campochiaro. “They work by remote, silently and flawlessly. There are no wires, they can go into old or new houses and our price for the blinds is very competitive.”

The Southington-based company on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike specializes in affordable security systems with the latest technology; sound and entertainment systems that will bring a casual ambiance to a home, and a host of other products designed to make life safer, more convenient and more carefree for residential and commercial customers.

The company can provide customers with everything from a system that will lock down a building and issue a list of anyone inside to a way to shut off lights, turn down heat and let delivery men or contractors into a house from 3,000 miles away.

They also do fire alarms, sprinklers, security and equipment that will allow customers to look at cameras or turn up the thermostat or see who is at the door and shut off the alarm and let them in no matter where they are, said Campochiaro, who owns the business with his brother James.

The automated systems can allow customers to turn on stereo throughout the house when guests arrive for dinner with the touch of a button or turn down the heat from their cell phones when they are away from home. Their wireless shade installation allows customers to protect their homes from the heat and cold with the touch of a hand.

“We can make them all go up and down with one switch or put them at 50 percent,” Campochiaro said. “They are attractive and can be room darkening or cosmetic.”

They also sell surround sound and televisions, create home theater systems, central vacuum systems, and intercom systems for homes that are affordable for the average person.

The company is also letting customers and residents in general know that they are checking smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors for people whether or not they are current customers. Those who are not customers can get their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors checked for a fee, Campochiaro said. Customers can get them checked for free.

“People should be checking their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and they should be replaced if they are old,” he said.

The company will also install burglar alarm systems for free and monitor them for a monthly fee.
