NEW BRITAIN - Starling Physicians will start to use a new technology in July to allow patients to have an easier registration process.

The new tool will be provided at check in. The device will enable patients to enter and update their information, sign forms and policies electronically, and process payments, copayments or balances.

This new system will only be provided at the New Britain, Enfield and Wethersfield locations.

The device will ensure patients’ health care records are updated while making sure the records are private and secure.

Starling Physicians offers service in 30 locations in 25 Central Connecticut cities and towns.

They also have a facility in southern Massachusetts.

In the New Britain area, there are four locations: Kensington Avenue, Lake Street, One Herald Square and West Main Street.

According to the mission statement on the website, the Starling Physicians is dedicated delivering high quality medical care to residents of all ages, with the focus being compassionate, collaborative, accountable, independent, and patient focused. Furthermore, Starling Physicians has a vision of serving as the leading physician-owned multispecialty group in Connecticut.

Starling Physicians provides up to 26 specialties in its different centers. Some of the specialties are cardiology, dermatology, surgery, gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology, podiatry, urology, OB/GYN, rheumatology, and sleep medicine.

In addition, Starling Physicians counts on a team of more than 40 primary care physicians, and 150 specialists. They offer special services such as laboratory testing, physical therapy and radiology.

Starling Physicians was started with two multispecialty groups that were part of the New Britain and Hartford areas for many years.

“Starling Physicians is proud to provide superior healthcare to the New Britain area,” Starling Physicians’ Dr. Jarrod Post, chief executive officer, said. “Our history dates back over 70 years in New Britain when the former Grove Hill Medical Centers put down roots in the area. Our size and scope has dramatically grown yet one thing remains consistent- our dedicated focus on putting the patient relationship first. We are first and foremost a group of doctors, who build relationships with our patients and their families that span decades, not just years. We have been, and always will be, here long term for the New Britain community and ensure that our talented primary care providers and dozens of specialists provide the highest quality care across the health care spectrum.”
