NEW BRITAIN – The two victims of the 73 Elam St. fire Sunday night have been identified as Elijah Little, 17, and Shaheen Davis, 29, according to New Britain police.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said Thursday their manner of death was an accident and their cause of death was from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries of body surfaces.

The cause of the fire, which had flames from the floor to the ceiling and from the front of the building to the back, was still under investigation as of Wednesday.

A sister of the two brothers was able to make it out of the fire without needing medical attention.
