FARMINGTON - Tunxis Community College will host a free performance of excerpts from “Brave in a New World” and “In My Shoes,” by the Judy Dworin Performance Project, on Thursday, Nov. 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the 600 Building, Room 6-374.

The excerpts will be followed by discussion and questions.

Performers include people who have re-entered society from state prison.

“Brave in a New World” explores the transition of those moving on from prison, and the challenges they and their families face.

“In My Shoes” brings the voices of women in and outside of prison to the stage in spoken word, dance and song, and asks audiences to engage in what it would be like to be in someone else’s shoes as it challenges them to explore issues of criminal justice from the standpoint of our common humanity.
