NEW BRITAIN-The New Britain Symphony Orchestra will host a free brass quintet and pipe organ concert on Sunday to celebrate the season of light.

The concert is part of the Symphony’s ongoing mini-concert series and will begin at 3 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

The performers include Floyd Higgins, organ; Larry Gareau, trumpet; Frank Gawle, trumpet; Marjorie Seymour Callahan, French horn; John Tzetzo, trombone; and Walter Gibson, tuba.

“This is a concert of uplifting and relaxing music that fits into any schedule during the hustle and bustle of the season,” said Cynthia Carlson, an officer of the New Britain Symphony Orchestra. “It is free and is presented in one of the historic great spaces in New Britain. Why not come and join us as we celebrate the season of light and sharing with music?”
