NEW BRITAIN-The New Britain Artists’ Co-op returns with an open mic night event on Thursday, March 15 with host Kae Price.

Born and raised in Boston, Price is a singer/song-writer known throughout Western Massachusetts and Connecticut.

She began writing her own music when she was nine years old. At that time, she also joined the children’s choir at Berea Seventh Day Adventist Church in Boston where she was able to develop her skills and passion for singing.

In 2016, she won the award for “R&B Artist to Look Out For” and was nominated for “Best Supporting Single Of The Year” at the Hip Hop Model Mayhem Awards in Connecticut.

She released her EP “Artist Unknown” in 2016 and is currently working on releasing her next project “Back to Business.”

As a mother of four, Price continues to strive to make music she hopes will inspire others to chase their dreams too.

Open Mic is a free community event open to performers and spectators of all ages. Instrumentalists, singers, dancers, storytellers, poets and others are all welcome. It is held the third Thursday of every month and features a different host.

The event starts at 6 p.m. at the New Britain Downtown District, 66 W. Main St. Music will be provided by J3 Promotions. For more information contact Adrian Elliott at the Artists’ Co-op at 860-881- 7801.
