NEW BRITAIN - Two males were arrested after getting into a fight in front of others on Sunday morning.

Around 4 a.m. near the address of 58 Marwood Drive, Joshua Casanova, 27, of New Britain, and Christian Cales, 26, of New Britain, got into an argument amid a group of people who were drinking, said Lieutenant Jeanette Portalatin.

A bottle was thrown by one at the other that went through a window, said Portalatin. As police were approaching they saw a window shatter outward, Portalatin added

One of the males received glass in the face, Portaltin said. It was unclear what the two were arguing about, said Portalatin. An anonymous 911 call alerted police of the incident.

Casanova was charged with second degree reckless endangerment, third degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Cales was charged with third degree assault, second degree reckless endangerment, second degree threatening, second degree breach of peace and third degree criminal mischief. The threatening charge was because Cales said he was going to harm everyone who was around the two.

They both were issued a summons, which means a court date for them will be set within 14 days of their arrest.
