Church carnival features food and fun

NEW BRITAIN - The annual July Bazaar is back on at the Holy Cross Church.

From Thursday, July 12 to Saturday, July 14, there will be food, raffles and rides at 221 Farmington Ave.

A dunk tank among other games will be featured and a wristband can be purchased for access to carnival rides.

Food at the event includes hot dogs, french fries, cotton candy, kielbasa sandwiches, pierogi, potato pancakes, fried dough, candy apples and more. Refreshments like soda, beer and wine will also be available for purchase.

Raffle tickets cost $5 and can lead to one of five cash prizes with $2,500 as the grand prize. Another raffle will take place where the winner gets a new 2018 BMW X1. The Jan and Renata Kwasnik Band will be on hand on Thursday and Friday to perform while The Janosiki Band arrives on Saturday.

The event will go on from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday and 5 to 11 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free an raffle proceeds will benefit the church.
